If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to get in touch! Here's a few of the most common questions asked:-
What are your prices, and what does that include?
That very much depends on you! Every wedding is different, and so are the costs as a result. If you don't need me there for the whole day, I'll not be charging you for one. Packages are arranged to suit your needs, starting from £150, and include all shooting/editing/travel costs, so there'll be no additional costs or surprises - what we agree on at the start is what you'll pay at the finish.
Ideally, if we have time, I like to meet up to do a couples (or engagement) shoot beforehand - this helps us get to know each other, and get a good idea of how we'll be working together. As the big day gets closer, we'll sort out a complete shot list of the pictures that you want, then it's my job to capture all of the moments that you didn't realise you wanted as well.
Once I've gone through the pictures and picked the best ones out, you'll get all of the images in low resolution in an online gallery, this is better for social media/sharing with friends and family over the internet, and then you'll get the high resolution images which are more appropriate for printing on a USB stick.

Where are you based/what area do you cover?
I live in Scotland's glorious capital - Edinburgh! I've lived here for over a decade, and it's very much the only place that has ever felt like home. I have worked as a tour guide for almost the entire time I've lived in the city as well, and as a result I know the place like the back of my hand. I have to say though, my favourite places are the mountains, especially in the North West.
As for where I cover- anywhere I'm needed! I love to travel for shoots, so whatever you're planning, from Gretna Green to Lerwick, from Anchorage to Dunedin - wherever it is, I'm up for it! Especially if you're thinking of eloping to the mountains...
What equipment do you use, and what is your style?
I shoot on Nikon, I have 2 digital cameras with me (primary and back up, shooting on both so that there's always a back up) and one 35mm film camera as well, with a variety of lenses to cover every angle. Everything is insured, and my cameras have back up storage in them, so there's no need to worry, your day will be well documented.
My style is gentle, as you can see by the images here. You'll hear the phrases "photojournalist" or "documentary style" photographer used a lot when looking into wedding photographers, and that's where I like to think of myself as well. This means that there will be limited posed pictures (we'll take a few more traditional group shots, because it's no nice to have a visual record of everyone that was there), and I'll essentially be a "fly on the wall" for the wedding, documenting the things I see, and trying to capture the atmosphere of the room, and the mood of the day.
From my point of view, this is a big day, and you have a lot to think about, so I like to make sure I have everything I need to know beforehand, so that I can be completely out of the way during the actual event. I'll get shot lists from you beforehand, I'll get a contact for the day to help me corral people for the group shots, and if you are getting married somewhere unfamiliar, I'll go to check it out sometime in the run up, so I know where all of the best angles are.
